What an end to a year

2006 is winding to a close. With the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and savior, It has brought about a reflective moment ( s) to the ol noodle. So often life feels so normal...so much like the way it was before I was born again into our Lord. The radical changes that occured early on seem to have slowed. When I look around at the believers that are around me I wonder if I appear as they do. The Joy of Christ, the promise of His Salvation and the presence of His Love in their lives...showing and flowing from their eyes and every body gesture. I often wonder what I can do to accelerate the process. I have to know his word as best I can as soon as I can. With such limited time, i must commit all to the study and worship of God. Of all things on this earth to do halfway...this is not it! I worry about time in the week and how much i will learn between now and the next sunday ( given the opportunity to exist of course ).
Then the Lord gives me a couple days, like this week has been. I struggled through much of the week. Resentment with friends, unknown difficulties that are starting to pop up at work. On the flip side I had one day where my memory verse was memorized when I zonked out while trying to remember it. There in my sleep I dreamt about the verse and memorized it ;Ps 1:1-3. Friday was an encouraging day as I started out my early morning ( 4:30 am ) with a weird occurance on the porch. Woke up in a bad mood saw the cat staring at something on the porch, flipped on a light and saw a 6-8 inch tall owl trapped in our screened in deck.
(poor little guy got stuck, but just for a moment)
( A pretty photo of My wife during a bible study of ours)

Then had an encouraging discipleship study with our pastor that led to a beautiful day working in the woods that was for me filled with prayer ( unusual ). Saturday was a great day shopping with my bride, Obey ( unusual as well, not really a shopper ) This Sunday was a great day just singing praises to our Lord. No real lesson to learn. No information departed other than God is great in His Salvation for unworthy mankind. His awesome Love, what a wonderful creator we have.In the words of the song Agnus Dei: Alleluia Alleluia, For our Lord God Almighty reigns...Holy, Holy are you Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb. You are Holy!!!
Merry Christmas- Trust

Ode to the Primer Clan

I have to thank the Primer family...after all, we're following in their footsteps...well, we're copying them. They have been a big influence in our lives since we came to know Jesus. The Primers have been a wonderful mentoring family. They have opened our eyes to things that we've needed to correct within our lives and our growing family. AND They introduced us to family blogs. Then, they set one up themselves. So, we got to thinking, 'Hey, why not? It might be kinda fun.' And, here we are...very possibly boring you to tears. But, as my husband mentioned, we're doing this because, well, it's an easy way for our families to keep up with what we're doing...we're forever forgetting to tell someone in the family something important. We can now shift the blame. "Well, it's on the blog...haven't you been checking the blog?" You see how nicely that works? It's also a great way to testify to others about our Lord and Savior. Of course, there's also just the plain ol' journalling of our lives. And because we live such exciting lives, we know that you are gripping the edge of your seat right now. Personally, I love to write. As a child, I always thought that I'd grow up to be an author...unfortunately, I don't write as well as I did in my imagination. But, I digress.

Anyway...thank you to the Primers! Not only for family blogs, but for helping us walk the straight and narrow path to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The purpose of this site is two-fold for us. One: a way for us to share whats current in our lives with friends and Family. Two: to share our testimony of God's Great love for our family. What He has done for us and how He has made us who we are becoming.
